EXACTLY...
you can not explain the feelings to someone who does not already feel
them...they can not understand...and you do not need to explain them to
those who already do...:)

the only way i can say it is that saying that is going around... "Cats
and dogs steal your heart...but ferrets steal your soul." this statement
makes some people mad...like you REALLY mean they steal your soul...but
it just means that they burrow so deeply INTO you...that if feels soul
deep...
 
i have been a cat lover...siamese...all my life...i can not remember
EVER being without a siamese cat...i have 4 right now...and i only had
ONE...in all my 53 years..that has EVER been "part of me"...i did not
know there were deeper feelings for any animal till i met my first
ferret, Rascal {RIP}...and since then [1996] we have had a total of 33
ferrets...19 have gone to the bridge...some of those losses were so
devastating..i did not know if i would get thru it...my husband cringes
every time a ferret comes along that i know belongs with us...he can
not stand to see me in that kind of pain when they have to leave...
 
i just tell him...i would much rather have the love of...and give the
love to this precious creature...and lose him...than to never have shared
that at all...
 
what i mean is...the benefits i get far outweigh the pain of loss...deep
tho it is...
