We just took two ferrets into our shelter who have the strangest names I've
ever encountered in ferrets, SID and NANCY! Since we are the fourth place
they have lived, we shall probably keep them here as I feel it is time they
had something permanent, but the names have to go! Any suggestions? They
are very large and quite docile. They are white and red-brown with marking
between a panda and sable. FOOD: I'm a Lisencd wildlife rehabber and use
Purina Mills, PMI, zoo feeds for my omnivores and other wild animals (when
Purina split up, Ralston Purina took the human cereals and animal chows for
pets, and Purina Mills does Zoo feeds and commercial domestic animal feeds)
My supplier tells me he can get me PMI's ferret feed (not to be confused
with Purina Ferret Chow). It is called "Mizuri" (not Japanese but the phonetic
spelling of the state it is made in in St.Louis) Although its nutritional
statistics look good, it ust be bought in large quantities. Before I try
it, I would like to know if anyone is using it and how acceptable it is to
the ferret palate. If talking about a commercial product is not approprite
to the list, perhaps you could E-mail me any info.
