First of all I'd like to thank all the wonderful, marvelous people who have
sent me e-mail with welcomes, sympathies and/or advice!  All of it is very
much appreciated.  I have discovered that ferret folks are totally awesome
people, and I have spent at least part of the day wondering why the rest of
the world hasn't figured this out yet.  Geeze.  Anyway...hugs and dooks to
all of you!!!
 
Update on my fert: I have adopted a second ferret, Onyx, who once was a
problem biter and now just gives dainty little love clutches.  (To be
expected, I'm told, given her very young age.) I have moved her and Grover,
as of tonight, to a different shelter where they will get more personalized
care and (since it's much closer to me) where I can get there more
frequently to socialize with them.  Thank you, Cascade Ferret Network, you
guys rock.  (And also thank you, Oregon Ferret Shelter, for taking care of
Grover for a couple of days, and for introducing both of us to Onyx!)
