Dear Laura,

Right on. I have one sweet little girl, Charity, and she will not eat
out of plastic. I have her food and water in stainless steel or glass.
She refused my soup, which is to die for with my fresh chicken in it,
in a plastic dish. She would eat it off of a spoon or lick it off of
my hand, but not in her dish which was plastic.

So I have a blender with a glass pitcher as that is all she will eat
out of. So join the club.

After a long talk with her, I went through my house and threw out
almost all of my plastic items. Everything is either glass, stainless
steel, cast iron, or enamel.

Everything I learned about cooking, I learned from my ferret. I
actually learned it all from my grandmother, but some enterprising
people told me she was wrong. She was old and didn't know the new
technology. Plastic and aluminum were the way to go.

Now, they are telling you that plastic is toxic, and aluminum leaches
into your food, leave tomato paste or some other acid food in an
aluminum pan and watch what happens. They said the old ways were
unhealthy. They lied, they are not.

Marilyn and the (fussy) gang at Ledoux Hospice.
