Yes, many many play pretties they don't have to climb for, a sandbox to dig
in, they love it, I have a towel around it, one of the curved topped cat
litter box, filled half way with sand. They get in there and bury their
nose in the middle and then back all around the edge just a flying, and
then look up a minute with eyes a glow and then back to it again. I also
have a little "swimmingpool" one of the clear plastic boxes for storage
under the bed. It is filled with water and it has ping pong balls in it.
Especially my youngest hangs over the edge and is fishing after em, he
looks like a human traps one between his "arms" and pulls it out. Then its
so commical to watch him push it all around the room with his nose, and is
he fast fast..........Also a large cardboard box with a pingpong ball to
chase inside where it can't get away from him is great.

Cardboard boxes, large ones with other boxes taped inside all with holes
large enough to move in and out and around for the ferrets, stacked as tall
as the cage (inside they can use one box to stand on to get to the next
level, not the same as having to secure toes into wire to climb, and its
fun to assemble and make designs out of (ducktaping them together so they
can't be "redesigned".) They need breathing holes too.

Squeeky toy inside two sockes with a string tied to and then it tied to
furniture, they love to be teased with it and then when they pounce on it,
whip it up, and then grab it and run to the end of the line, it is now a
tug of war, or it can be reeled in for them to chase back.

The tube of course but tied in knots and/or cut into pieces that lead into
boxes or the roll-a-ball and then out to another obstacle. Really funny
when two or three are in there at a time and it gets to rolling and
bouncing.

Boxes, or milk jugs, or containers they can get into that is filled with
balls and toys they can steal and go take somewhere else, a purse with
items in it to be stolen, and toys you have to supervise such as the
feather on the fishingpole they like to leap and try to catch. Also the
elastic used to make waists in clothes attached to a stuffed toy where when
they get it to their hideyhole, it automatically returns to where it
started. (I've never used this one but read about it)

All toys need to be examined constantly for wear and tear and use good
common sense in whether you feel it can be chewed and swollowed and even if
you think it can't, to regularly check it (can't isn't a definite with a
ferret).

My bestest playing article is the paper grocery bag. Dump two or three or
more in there and shake it up or down (best to put two or three bags
together for support) and shaking it high enough they kinda leave their
floor, and then twirl it around on the floor then on its side and let
everyone escape. They attack each other, war dance, roll tumble and then
make a U turn and head right back into the sack for another round of it,
excitement is in the air. Even the fuddy duddy fatsy oldester gets into
this one. You will tire out before they do.

Good playing.
