I line the litter boxes with newspaper.  I have 6 ferrets and only 2 of the
girls will use the boxes outside the cage.  Everyone else (3 boys, 1 girl)
kept hitting the area beside the box.  I now place paper beside the box and
everyone is happy.  When I did use litter it was the pellet type made for
ferrets, this was too much of a toy when I changed the boxes, which was
everyday, and turned out to be a waste of money for me because I was
sweeping more off the floor then they were actually using.  I hope this
