I got a new companion for my 3 year old boy Calvin and it took 6 weeks
before they could be together.  From the advice I received from you folks
on the FML I heard that it could take up to 3 months.  I did have to have
a second cage and we let them out seperately, I also alternately switched
their cages so they got used to each others scent.  It was all worth it
-when it looked so impossible.  Now they play and romp and usually are best
buds.  Be prepared to spend some time making this work.  I felt the same
way about not infringing on my Calvin he was an only ferret for 2.5 years.
