There is another approach to the Verizon commercial. Send letters or
emails to the local TV stations that run the commercials. They are going
to be more likely to listen to your voice as your local station than
Verizon will be if you are not a customer.

Here in Dallas (I saw the ad while watching Enterprise also) you can
contact the person in charge of selling commercial time at KTVT and
UPN 21 at

Melba Meade

Send emails and letters stating that you are considering changing your
viewing habits because you find the commercial offensive. Loss of
viewers equals loss of local revenue if you aren't seeing the local
commercials a station runs. That means you can't go buy from the local
merchant who only advertises on one station.

Follow the money is not just a platitude. It is the way to make change
in this day and age. Hit the local stations in the pocket book and they
will listen.

Cheers,
Health to you and yours,
