Well Cleo seems to be eating and drinking pretty well this morning. I am
glad to see her a little bouncy today! I just love it when they start to
seem like they feel better. :) Not out of the woods yet, but any bouncing
is better than no bouncing and man can she do a mean war dance! :) I have
made another vet appointment for next week. I did find out some good news
today though....:) It is definitely not ECE because this time when she
went to the bathroom (twice) and it was green, I noticed something funny
in it and after a closer look (yuck) I saw pieces of green indoor/outdoor
carpeting in it! :) I checked out my little strip of indoor/outdoor
carpeting by the back door where she was running around at the other day
and sure enough there was a little piece that was torn and missing. I was
thankful for that. I will have to keep an eye on her to make sure that she
doesn't develop a blockage and I will also mention the carpet situation to
my vet. When I took her to the vets the first time he took one look at her
and decided that he also thought it was Adrenal Disease, although, he said
that there was a small chance (from what I told him about her prior living
conditions) that she was just having a serious allergic reaction to
something. (The place where I rescued her had never given her hairball,
they used kitty litter, fed her cat food, never let her out of her cage for
exercise, had two dogs, some cats, and a bird in the room with her, and let
her sleep in that brown wood bedding stuff that gerbils and stuff sleep in,
and they had her in this situation for four years). He wants to see us
again next week as I already stated above so that he can check her more
thoroughly and run some tests. He was in a hurry when I had her there the
first time because of some dog emergency that his assistant came in and
told him about??? I am almost convinced that she has the Adrenal Disease,
but at least the ECE deal has been clarified. I will still continue to
keep her quarantined until the time is right and all is well. Well thanks
very much for your time and I will keep everyone posted on Cleo. :)
