The past couple of days have seen a flurry of activity with Merlin
re-storing some of his treasures--a heavy glove, crocheted teddy bear, and
catnip toy. He moved them with some urgency from the kitchen cabinet to a
corner in the ferret room. I imagine he sensed the impending snowstorm and
was trying to store up important stuff. Meanwhile Prince Charming has been
unsuccessfully trying to drag an empty one-liter iced tea bottle into the
kitchen cabinet; his tastes seem more practical.

Since we had snow today, I filled up a new, unused large litter box with
snow (perfect size). Merlin and Harry went into a frenzy snorkeling and
digging. All 4 guys wore themselves out and fell asleep even before it was
time to go back to their room.

-- Ronnie, thankful for a 'snow day' off from work, yay!
da guys Ralphie, Harry, Prince Charming & Merlin, and the ladies Roxanne &
Petunia
zzzzzz

P.S. a few thoughts on biting; Ralph and Harry were quite good until the
Bad White Boys (Prince Charming and Merlin) moved in. Prince Charming and
Merlin LOVE to play rough with their brothers, these guys are maniacs!
Their lunatic influence rubbed off on my sweet sable boys, so Ralph and
Harry will now occasionally playbite, which they never did before. I agree
with the consensus; you can't generalize. I think there's a very wide range
of "biting" behavior that can mean different things. I also agree you can
never be too careful when taking ferrets in public, at least until that
wonderful day comes when ferrets have a positive image everywhere.
