I have two ferret referances.  I was waching the t.v. cartoon series
"Aladdin" and the genie was reunited with his former master and he said,
"Well genie, I guess you still are afraid of washing pets.  You were even
scared of my ferret!" Genie responded with, "It was'nt just any ferret, it
was a sabre-toothed ferret!"
 
Also, I am currently reading "All the Way to the Gallows" by David Drake and
on the story "Mom and the Kids" the main characters are weasels with all
kinds of weapons!  Very weird.
