this is for Jessica Wilson:
i'm not sure if this would apply to ferrets, but...
i am allergic to everything, and my doctor keeps me up to date on
animal/allergy issues. last year a study (at U. Washington?) showed that
in cats, the allergen load (Fel-D1 is the cat allergen) was VASTLY
reduced when the cat is rinsed with distilled water on a monthly basis.
Does anyone know if the ferret allergen is also in the saliva, like in
cats? if so, the results of monthly rinsing might be similar. good luck.
