I am also feeding my two different foods and the way to accomplish this is to
have each ferret know their bowl.  I don't know if this is why they tend to eat
their own food rather than the others, but they were in separate cages for a
time, and they each had their own bowl.  When I out them together, I put both
bowl into the new cage and it worked...  The only other thing I could think of
is if Ferret A likes one treat, and B likes another, you could put that treat
into their bowls each time you fill it....  It might make them like their
options better....  Or if one is much smaller than the other, you make make the
bowls at different levels in the cage, so one can't reach the other..
