i have some terrific news to share with you all.  although it's been a
sad week at the shelter, a lot of good has come to us too.  all of the
ferrets who were originally at the shelter were taken into foster homes
on the day the Paris kids came in.  Well, i'm happy to report, as a
result of having to be fostered, Beta, Tarzan AND Tina have been adopted
<big grin>.  Theta and Kappa *may* also have a forever home too <bigger
grin>.
 
The Paris kids have all been named with the exception of 3 little girls
but i'm sure this weekend, all will be named :)
 
mommie has been weighing them almost on a daily basis and every single
skinny kid has gained weight.  she is worried about a few of them who
were recently spayed and feels that she jumped the gun at spaying some of
them, just because it was donated.  A few of the girls have lost weight
and mommie worries.
 
Little Lilu, the youngest female of the bunch, has been coming along
great.  She is a chatter box and is trying to let the other little girls
know all will be good.  they beat her up sometimes because they don't
believe her, but with some time and more reassurance, i know Pixie will
be the "popular" girl in our crowd!
 
little Elvis jumped out of his skin yesterday, mommie scared him so
much.  i don't think any of the Paris kids have ever heard laughter and
yesterday, mommie was holding Elvis and she laughed for the 1st time this
week.  he bit her!  he NEVER bites.  he spent the rest of the day hiding
until mommie kissed him and gave him some Tone.
 
the shelter had a nice visitor from St. Catharine's.  Auntie Lynda came
by with some beautiful hammocks, bedding and toys for the kids.  Although
all of them (with the exception of Hardy) don't know what to do with the
toys yet, they all appreciated her gifts and mommie did too.  mommie said
it was nice to finally meet auntie Lynda and is glad she has a new
friend.
 
from all the way up here, i want to thank the ferret community for
pulling together for these 29 little ones.  nether mommie or i can
believe just how awesome you all are.  know, that in the night, while
you are all sleeping, i come to you and give you ferret kisses on your
nose in thanks.  Also know that's a hard thing for me to do, i always
HATED kisses, but i love you all so much for your kindness, ive made
an exception to my rules.
