Cathy Johnson-Delaney's murder of Foxy and her refusal to return her
body, has resulted in the death of yet another ferret.

The depression that Quigley went into when Foxy did not return has now
resulted in his death. Quigley had never had one sick day in his life.
No adrenal disease, no insulonoma, no lymph cancer, no hair ball, no
nothing. He became immediately depressed when Foxy did not return, and
began eating less and less. The blood work, x-rays and vet exam revealed
no reason for his decline. Quigley lost his desire to live, when Foxy
"vanished." This is one of the main reasons we always bring the body back
of the companion, so he'll know that his friend has died and won't be
returning. Animals will still go through the mourning process, but they
do not continue to search and search and search for their friend.

The only good thing out of Quigley's death, is that now Foxy will have
her friend back and so will Quigley. Maybe Quigley will let Foxy know
that we tried so very hard to get her back.
