Hello all!  With everything going on right now, i have some good news!
i can't believe i forgot to tell you guys LAST week, but now at least
i have something happy to say with all the sadness going on!  Charlie
(the little boy who had adrenal surgery a few weeks ago) and his sister,
Kester (both 5 years old) found a forever home!  Although we never charge
an adoption fee for our older/special needs kids, their new mommie
donated $200!  That was sooooo nice of her!  Kester is having some
problems right now, she's not eating too well.  Please keep her in your
thoughts, her new mommie is very worried!
 
The shelter started construction on Saturday morning.  as it turns out,
they aren't allowed to build an add-on because of city by-laws but
grandma was kind enough to allow them to use her old room, which is twice
the size of the ferret room and has the ability to be self-contained with
a washroom too!  SO, the separate entrance door at the back of the house
was cut and construction started.  doing things this way will save mommie
about $10,000.  this makes mommie VERY happy :)
 
the shelter took in Max this week from a home.  the lady who had him
didn't even know how to spell 'ferret'!  poor guy.  they also took in
Button.  she is very small and very cute.  she was found wondering around
a VERY posh neighborhood and wasn't spayed.  the Oakville Humane Society
spayed her and released her to the shelter.
