Thank you everyone so much for your replies.  I would think twice about
buying a Marshall Ferret again and may just email the store where we got
them to let them know so they are aware of this in the future.
 
Our babies are doing very well.  I know this may sound strange but God
always seems to give us the "babies" that need that extra love and
attention so I know that he/she did not steer us wrong since when we got
them it was not our intention to purchase ferrets but guinea pigs.  They
ferret fuzzies picked us I know that for sure and they get so much love,
exercise and attention here.  We take them out every night/day that is
nice and not rainy or cold.  They have the run of the back bedroom when we
are with them and clean towels every other day.  We pick the litter 2-3x
a day and straighten hammocks, sleep sacks, toys and blankies 2x a day.
They get vitamins, good quality food, water and as much fun as they can
handle in one day :-).  So they were meant to come to us.  I felt that the
little guy was maybe suffering from something that infants get called
failure to thrive because of lack of love and attention.  Well in less
than 2 weeks the little one is growing and the bigger one Michael is
muscling up on his hind quarters from all the running and going outdoors
for fresh air.
 
I am very pleased with my babies but also glad that the MF info was
brought to my attention.  The next when the time comes will most likely
come from a shelter as I know they need homes.  I work with "energy" and
will send lots of love to MF.

PS maybe the reason that this came to light was that maybe through all of
us we can educate more people about how wonderful ferrets can be as pets
and about how they are bred.  Right now I buy MF food but the only other
one I found that I "felt" was right was 8 in 1.  Any comments?
