Bandits vs. Butler treats: The ingredient list and guaranteed analysis
are similar enough on these two products that you can't really tell if
one is much better or worse than the other.  I would guess that the
Butler treat would be fine as an occasional treat for your ferrets.
 
(A note on reading labels--when Dr. Bill Stadler of Mazuri did a talk on
food labels at the 2002 International Ferret Symposium in Las Vegas, he
showed a slide with 4 or 5 different rabbit foods.  Each had alfalfa as
the first ingredient, and the next 4 or 5 items varying slightly for each
food.  They looked similar, but he told us the amount of the primary
ingredient varied from something like 16 to about 50% for the different
foods.  You simply could not tell from the label.  But he said all were
good foods.)
