Riker made it through his exploratory with flying colours. He had a
large left adrenal removed and a particle of a right removed. Nothing
else could be determined wrong with him and he's already doing really
well.

Rufus on the other hand had to give us all a scare. His right adrenal
was attached to his pancreas, liver, intestine and wrapped around the
vena cava. We all held our breath for most of the surgery and Nigel ran
back to the shelter to bring back 2 unwilling blood donors in case they
were needed but thankfully, they were not.

Riker is back at the shelter now and Rufus needed another night of fluids
and watchful eye at the vets. He should be released today. Many thank
to you all.
