Riker made it through his exploratory with flying colours. He had a large left adrenal removed and a particle of a right removed. Nothing else could be determined wrong with him and he's already doing really well. Rufus on the other hand had to give us all a scare. His right adrenal was attached to his pancreas, liver, intestine and wrapped around the vena cava. We all held our breath for most of the surgery and Nigel ran back to the shelter to bring back 2 unwilling blood donors in case they were needed but thankfully, they were not. Riker is back at the shelter now and Rufus needed another night of fluids and watchful eye at the vets. He should be released today. Many thank to you all.
