Hi!
I have a problem, I can not find any vet who can get blood from my ferrets
without a struggle(we usually end up getting less than 1ml). I am also a
vet student and I would like to be able to do this efficiently myself
someday. All of the vets have tried to get blood from the jugular-they
will not dare try the caudal vena cava technique(and I personally don't
want to do it myself-looks to risky.) My 3 year old Marshall farms ferret
"Kabuki" is now having slight signs of adrenal disease, and I want to get
the blood test done for this disease. ANy suggestions on venipuncture
techniques in ferrets?
