Those of you who have followed Brownies story will understand the following
request:

What we REALLY NEED HELP DOING NOW--

In order to pursue this and other neglect and abuse cases ( and we never
ever thought we could really be here) are the following items:

A Polaroid camera with time / date stamp for evidence submission

A 35MM camera with time / date stamp and flash capability for evidence
submission

And in a wild dream a video camera with time/ date capabilities as well as
additional flood lights for night time or evening photos at place of recovery

This sounds intense, but the war against animal abuse and neglect is not an
easy one. It takes time , equipment, and documentation as well as a good
investigator to argue the case.

That is what we have a very good -- the best in the state-- investigator who
will pull the stops out if we can deliver the goods. We need to convince
the judge and to do that we can not show up with a healed animal. We need
to: document injury both written and photos; to document abuse in photos and
written testimony; to provide documentation from the examining vet in the
written form and in hard evidence ( in this case the bullet). There is a
lot to this, but then when it is all done and any animal is vindicated from
their abuse or neglect it will be well worth it.

We hope YOU can help.

If you have a friend or know someone with a company such as Kodak, Polaroid
etc. - could you approach them on our behalf? or could you find out to
whom we could write requesting a donation? We are pending tax exempt status
so we can issue receipts for donation of any of the above items. All of
these requests will be worth their weight in gold when they help to
persecute the criminals. This will bring another level of justice to the
domestic ferret as they are shown to be equal with animals such as cattle,
cats and dogs who already enjoy protected rights against abuse. Just one
more step for our small furry friends the ferret.

Thanks for listening.

(Hope this post wasn't too long!)
