Hello all my friends!  It's been a super busy week for the shelter!
mommie is really sad, Barbie & Ken will be coming back to the shelter
this week.  Some of you may remember this pair from a couple of years
ago.  Barbie was thrown from a 5 story balcony twice and has sever
neurological problems.  mommie is hoping she can find a new home for
them as soon as possible.
 
Boddington had an emergency appointment on Friday.  In the morning, the
left side of his head was suddenly deformed!  It looked like he had a
small golf ball attached behind his ear!  As it turns out, it was an
abscess and the vets are worried it may be Actinomyces.....the same
bacteria i had, so many years ago.  He'll be on long term antibiotics
and hopefully fix this problem.
 
Grandma hasn't been so good.  But, she's a strong lady and she'll get
through this too.  The cancer has spread again and gone into the bones of
her right arm.  She's having a lot of pain so the doc's have increased
her pain meds.  mommie decided not to tell grandma this news so that
grandma doesn't loose hope.
 
Jake is starting to eat better and Ferox is playful although he's not
eating well.  Please keep the little guy in your thoughts.  Everyone
else is holding their own and doing well.
