Wow!  It's been a SUPER busy week at the shelter!  6 ferrets came in this
week.  5 were on Monday and 1 on Wednesday.  Barbie & Ken came in....they
are in bad shape.  Barbie's vulva is HUGE!  Then there was the "biter"
who wasn't really a biter.  Her parents actually brought her to the
shelter and KEPT her 2 cage mates!!!  Mommie was livid when they got to
the shelter and told her they had 2 more at home.  Her name is Rockette
and she is very sweet.  Even "if" she turns into a biter later on, she
is still very loved.
 
The shelter also took in Skip.  He's a 3 year old with loads of spunk.
He wasn't let out of his cage for over a month so is very happy to be at
the shelter and get to play with the other kids.
 
The shelter also took in Dharma & Duncan from a fellow shelter who needed
some help.  You see, Duncan is a real biter....SO, he's off to Camp Paige
for a few weeks with his sister.  They are both real cute but poor Duncan
bites real hard.  He seems so scared.
 
Boddington is doing GREAT!  For the 1st time in months, he war danced!
Mommie almost cried when she saw that......he's also chatting and
starting to act like a normal ferret.  the antibiotics must be working
for him.
 
All of the kids at the shelter have bad colds.  they sneeze so much
mommie sayz it sounds like a symphony orchestra lol!  all the kids
are getting goo 2x a day so they aren't complaining :)
 
Barbie & Jake are going into the vet on Monday for pre anesthetic blood
work.  Both kids have Adrenal Disease.  Ken's going too as his teeth look
terrible!  Please keep Barbie & Jake in your thoughts, hoping they do
good in surgery.
