Hi all, I've contented myself to lurking for the past couple of weeks
(busy semester here!) but I just had to respond to a few things I saw in the
latest issue.
First of all, my sympathies to Barb and Skittles. Having had an
inordinate number of pets in my life-time, I know it's hard to take care of
them when they're sick, especially when you're not sure what to do to help
them! But just think how worth-while it will be in the end, if you help your
little weasel pull through, or at least make their lives a little more
comfortable. So, you have my spiritual support, and I wish you luck.
In a less serious vein, our little Kindjal is positively crazy about
the vacuum cleaner! Unlike the cats, who clear out of the room when that
loud machine invades their space, he'll either come running from wherever he
is in the house, or will even wake up if he's napping somewhere in the area.
He seems be fascinated by it, and my mother helps satisfy his curiosity by
occasionally taking off the brush ends and "clearing out his sinuses" - I'm
sure that might sound cruel, but the fool comes back for more! It's quite a
sight to see - a weasel letting his face get sucked up to right below his
eyeballs! We have no clue as to why he likes this, but of course he is quite
a psychopathic little beast anyways.
Well, good luck to everyone's furries who are fighting disease, and my
condolences to all those who have lost their little friends.
        Jessi & Kindjal
