I am not a vet, but I think your vet has a handle on it.  I just last
month had the surgery on my little girl.  She is 3.5 yrs old and had a
swollen vulva with a creamy discharge.  She had a barely noticable thin
area of hair on her butt, but otherwise was normal.  They found her left
adrenal was swollen and removed it.  Her vulva is back to normal, but
I'm still waiting for all of her hair to grow back.
