Ok, again, I was not trying nor intending to be nasty. I hear of all kinds
of horror stories of ferrets not being treated any better than dirt, and
as you so well pointed out, I do not know you, not do I know a thing about
you. In the interest of the safety side of the fence, I took the stand
to agitate, agitate, and I did agitate. Thank you for your response and
clarifying some unknowns. But, honestly, I do stand by my original
position to NOT take possession albeit I do fully support your feelings and
love for animals. Hope you do side with me in my effort to prevent any
further advance of animal abuse in the name of the fad of having a ferret.
The way you displayed your interest in your original post was you had lost
your cat, so was toying with the idea of getting a ferret, and in
California. My concern was for the animal first, and your pocketbook
second.

Even with two lawyers on your side, the ferret will be the looser if you
are caught. I humbly ask you to think this out, use your resources in the
legal arena to a better agitating force but leave the animal not lend to
exposure of suffer. This is not nasty, is the way it is. YOu and I and
all of us have to use the rules as they are, change them by using them, not
violating them. I will support your argument in any forum as long as you
are not in violation of the laws, especially where an innocent and ignorant
animal will be the foundation for untold suffer. .
