The stuffed ferret issue seems to be getting 'heated', with someone
alluding we don't have the right to tell eBay how to run their auctions.
On the contrary, those who market DO want to know how those who consume
(That would be us) view the product, view the selection, view the service.
That's why they put out little cards for us to rate them with.  They don't
want us to choose not to visit their site, or go to their store.  They
want us to tell them what products we want to see.  That's why stores will
special order items, they WANT us to be happy with them.  Can we all say
"They Want Our Money".
 
I've contacted eBay Customer Service several times over objectionable
items.  The people who work in their customer service are just like you
and me.  They are as offended by such things as we are, even if they do not
have the power to remove the item.  They will encourage you to continue
objecting, and none has ever been critical of my request.
 
When eBay does remove an item, the header still exists, but a message
appears saying the auction is closed.  I'm not sure of the exact wording on
that.  My only suggestion here would be to check the site, take down the
item #, and contact customer service, thanking them for removing the item.
That is how eBay will know it has made the correct choice, if people show
appreciation.
 
Communicating with eBay Customer Service is a 2 step process.  You will
immediately receive a message thanking you for your communication, then a
couple of days later you will be contacted (via e-mail) by a real person.
You will then be able to respond back and forth with that person.
