Actually, it's about protecting the ferrets FROM the cords - electric
ones. When we modified our living room area so we could share it with
the ferrets, (you know - our hobby) I wanted my computer in the space. The
one thing I worried about was that they might chew on the cord. We use a
power bar, so there's only 1 cord plugged into the wall outlet, and today
we covered that with a strip of hard plastic.

The strip is called CordMate, and is designed to hide cords that have to
be run along walls. It comes with an adhesive backing, which was easily
rolled off. A screwdriver was used to pry the strip open enough to force
the thick power bar cord into it. The strip from a catalog company called
(home) Improvements. If anyone is interested and can't locate them
(probably have a web site) I'd be happy to send out the information,
they're in Roanoke, VA.
