I called the Home office of USAA Insurance today and was informed that they
have no policy to discriminate against ferret or any other domestic pet
ownership.  Many USAA employees are ferret owners and are insured by USAA
here in San Antonio.  The local agent issuing the policy may have been
mistaken, or a local ban on ferrets may have effect on the policy.  Any
USAA member refused insurance needs to contact the Main office here in San
Antonio to appeal the refusal or rejected coverage based on ownership of
domestic ferret(s).  Have full details of your refused coverage ready when
filing your complaint.
