Hello,

I have posted a few times but I figured it would also be time for an
introduction. My name is Caryl and I am 31 years old living in Southeast
New York. I am owned by three ferrets.

Lucy - She is my little sweetie. She is a 18 month old silver mitt with the
most adorable personality. She is very petite but a fiesty one indeed! She
is also a MF ferret and other than the ECE virus, she has been very healthy.
(knock on wood).

Brutus - He is a 18 month old cinnamon which we acquired from a pet store
which had him for about 6 months. Typical pet store horror story - glass
aquarium w/ wood shavings and no toys. Anyway, he was a nipper at first but
he had turned out to be quite a lover. He has HUGE ears which he loves to
have scratched and he will do just about anything for pasta. Also a MF.

Bravo - He is our latest addition. We picked him up a few months back and
unfortunately he came home with the ECE virus. He is a little panda with a
major attitude. I wish I knew where he got all his energy from. He is VERY
playful and is nowhere near becoming a lap ferret. We took pictures of him
when we first got him and it's hard to explain to people how cute this
little flash of white can be. He never sits still and his biggest
fascination right now is the christmas tree. The night we were putting it
up he tried his best to drag it into his hidey hole (the couch). He still
has not given up! Also a MF.

We did have four ferrets but we lost our fredonia girl due to complications
from the ECE virus. She was a very special little girl and I miss her
dearly. After losing Boo Boo, the pet store which I purchased Bravo said
that they would give me another kit to replace her. I declined their offer,
I have decided that instead of having another baby, I should devote my time
to these three. I just told them that if they came across one that needed a
home desperately, they should call me. :-). They are such special animals
to me. I think some people think I'm strange - I work in a corporate office
where most people have 2.4 kids, a dog named spot and a picket fence. Most
people brag about their kids, but I brag about my ferts.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday.
Thank you so much for all of the interesting posts and advice I have gotten
over the past year. Without all of you I would never have learned as much
about these little guys. Whenever I talk to someone who is even interested
about ferrets, this is the first place I tell them to go. There is so much
more here that they would ever learn from books.

Sorry for such a long post!

Best wishes,
Caryl
