Don't think I could give $$ to a shelter that I have never been to and am
for sure that they properly care for their ferrets. One of the shelter's
Jennifer said in the beginning of her challenge, I worry about the care
that her ferret's receive. I wouldn't want to give $ to someone who abuses
animals, or abuses people.

I think that before you give a shelter $, you should be certain thats it's
going to the ferret's, not for beer or drugs or something. I had some
problems with a couple of shelter women that made me think that they
couldn't care for ferrets properly, since they are so mean and ignorant,
and admit to taking drugs and drinking, on the ferret newsgroup. I don't
think drug addicts should own any pet's. There is proof of this on deja
http://x27.deja.com/[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=533029154&search=thread &
CONTEXT=3D95848347" if you need it.

I also read on other boards, and the FML that one of them runs a dirty
shelter. Is also breeding ferret's and keeping it a secret from a ferret
club so she can get free stuff. I support two shelters near me, because
I've been there, and know that the operator knows what they're doing, and
knows how to properly care for ferrets. I think that anyone who gives $
should do it too.

If ya like you can email me and I'll tell ya who I'm talking about. Don't
want to start a flame war, but I just think you should check out any person
that asks/begs for $. Don't bother flaming me either, since I know where
the delete key is, and how to use it. Don't need the hassle or the threats
from the crazies. Don't want the poor ferrets to suffer either, and maybe
they will if these places stay open due to donations. I am pretty sure
that none of the people I am talking about have jobs, and need donations to
take care of their ferret's.

Who know's, maybe some of the shelters out there are really not even
shelters. Went to one shelter's website today who says they have 40
ferrets, but they only have a picture of one. This shelter is also
connected with the one that Jennifer talked about. Asked her if she had
been there, and she said no. Maybe they just collect the money for
themself. There's no real way of knowing unless ya go there.
