have you tried giving your fuzz a bath just for fun?  the fur-it won't have
to support their weight, and if its shallow enough to touch bottom can
still run(sort of).  with toys and friends and WARM water it should be fun
for all involved.  i know they use theraputic swimming for injured and
elderly people, and even horses with injuries like that of your fur-it
benefit from swimming.....if facilities exist(there aren't many around) but
you have a perfect "ferret theraputic pool" in your bathroom.  mine even
dries herself off!  just leave some drier warmed towels in a heap on the
floor or tub.  just don't leave the monsters alone in the tub with or
without water.
