We've heard all the stories about those vicious child-eating ferrets.
Lately we've been telling people that since we were down to our last two
children we had to have another one just to make sure all our ferrets
would have enough food to make it through the winter. Seriously though
we don't anticipate any problems between our ferrets and our new little
one (who actually isn't here yet but should be as of Sunday, Feb. 19th).
We plan to keep the baby away from the ferrets until such time as he can
be trained to have the proper respect for animals. We also will keep him
away from our dogs and cats for the same time/reason. It worked quite
well with our daughters who now are extremely active in showing ferrets
with us at the various shows. (Ok, a little plug for our youngest who
took 2nd place in a junior showmanship competition at the recent AFA show
in Frederick, MD -- aka the "snow show")

BTW, that was Chrissy Cappelluti, AFA's show chairperson who was
shown on the Letterman show last Friday from the Ferrets Unmasked video
and we won't let her forget it.
