I don't know if anyone else posted this, but I think this is an example of
1) How smart, wonderful and special our ferrets are
2) How ferrets HELP, not hurt, kids
 
If you can't access the news article, the jist of it is two ferrets manged
to wake up their 11 year old owner, in time to get him and his family out
of a burning house, in which one of the ferrets later perished.
