I missed your first post, but my deaf ferret Button's favorite toy (and the
only one he is possessive about) is a baby rattle.  I guess he can feel the
little beads rattle about as he carries it around.  The baby rattle belongs
at the top of the stairs.  If Buttons finds it anywhere else in the house,
he will immediately take it to the top of the stairs, and curl up nearby to
snooze.
