I forgot to mention... and I forgot who had the problem... but if someone in
a FFZ wants to order from Ferret Outfitters, or other ferret catalogs, it
may take longer, but you can have them send the package to me and I'll
re-box it and send it to you. It's not a big deal really, and unless it's
going to cost me $15 each time I try to mail, I think I can spring for the
cost. Just let me know. Email me and I'll give you my snail mail address.

Stephanie (with the bad vet), if you don't mind, could you forward your
original post to me? Just curious what the problem was. About your
complaint, though. I don't know where you live, and I don't know if it's
just a state law we have here in Texas, but there's an Open Records Act that
says gov't agencies can't keep their records private. I work for the Texas
Structural Pest Control Board. We license and regulate pest control
operators. I don't know jack-sh*t about bugs, just the laws that effect the
bug killers. Anyway, if we get a complaint, it will NOT be confidential,
even if the person asks that it be so. If the company complained against
wants a copy of the investigation, we, by law, are required to forward them
a copy, which includes the initial complaint. The only way to be
confidential is to not tell US your name. It sucks for those people that
write, "Please don't give out my name..." because there's nothing we can do.
I'm sorry that agency gave out your name, but they may not have had a
choice...

About the bug problems in foods, this is going to sound really gross, but...
if you freeze the food to kill off the bugs, can you still feed it to the
ferrets? I mean, seriously, don't these bugs have protein and such? Again,
I work the the Pest Control Board, but I key licensing information in, I
don't know poop about bugs. Anyway, I haven't had bugs in my food, so the
kids aren't getting fed mealworms, I was just curious if it's actually okay
to keep the 'contaminated' food?

We're outta here!!
