I'm not sure where you live in CA, but there are generally vets that will
see ferrets.  Check out http://www.caoutlaws.com/vets1.html for a list of
ferret friendly vets in CA.  There are also many clubs in CA that you can
join to help in the effort to legalize ferrets.  These clubs are also
great resources for ferret information.  Try 'Ferrets Anonymous' (FA)
http://www.caoutlaws.com/ which is the club that provides the web site
above, and 'Californians for Ferret Legalization' (CFL)
http://www.ferretnews.org/
