Wild weasel story:
I once had a ferret named Eric who took faking to new heights (or
depths). Not only was he an expert at faking going in the litterbox to
get a treat, but one day he got underfoot, and I stepped on one of his
paws. He squealed, and I said, "Oh, poor Eric!" and reached for the
Pounce treats. He limped in a little circle, holding one paw up, and
stopped to eat the treat. When he was done, he limped in a circle a
little more, so I gave him another. Then he looked up at me, and when I
hesitated giving him a third treat, he trotted off, no trace of a limp.
