Jean,
I think it's really too bad about what happened on Judge Mills Lane, but
you did get to keep the ferrets with you (did I understand that right?),
which is what should have happened, so we all know that you came out the
winner. I'm pretty sure that Jean was prompted to interject when she
disagreed with something, because the producers of the show wanted her to
be repremanded. If everyone on those television court shows were
respectful to the judges, the shows would be considered boring. People
watch those shows, because they like to see people get nasty with each
other, not because they want to see justice done. Same premise with all
the people who watch Jerry Springer, and it's come out that they do the
same thing to guests backstage before the show. The producers tell them
things to get them angry and enrage them so that when they come out they
will pick fist fights, because that is what people supposedly want to see.
I can't imagine which people those are, because it turns my stomach.

I was surprised you battled this case on Judge Mills Lane, when Judge
Wapner (formerly of People's Court) and the most reasonable of the tv
judges in my opinion, now does Animal Court on Animal Planet. All the
disputes on that show involve animals, and usually unless there is some
loophole in the law that he can't get around, Wapner is pretty fair. I
remember a case with a woman who confiscated a horse that she had sold to
a family, the family wasn't caring for the horse properly and they hadn't
paid her for it either. But since she wasn't allowed to just go in and
take the horse without going through legal channels first, she had to
return the horse to the owners, and they were remanded to pay her. Wapner
apologised to the lady who sold the family the horse, because he said that
he knew she was only doing what she thought was best and he could tell that
she loved the horse, but he had to uphold the law.

Lastly, I'm very sorry to hear about your Trouble, we've all enjoyed
hearing about his exploits. It sounds as if he had a very long and happy
life, blessed to live with a famly who loved him so much.

Best wishes
Robynn
