I too have found myself hurt and frustrated when a generous gesture was
not acknowledged.  I had to have Fed Ex trace a package (twice) since the
shelter wouldn't even respond if they received my gifts.  On the other
side I have had folks call me from neighboring states to say thanks.
 
I've come to think that even if a thank you is not sent by the humans - a
ferret in need benefits.  So for all those thank yous you didn't receive...
THANK YOU from all the sick and lonely ferts.
