A few years ago I read an excellent idea for "brushing" your ferts.  You
know those mats that have something like really stiff hairs on them?
Roll it up and fasten it together like a tube, and we all know what
will happen from there!  It is a bit messy, but nothing the vacuum won't
clean up.
