PLEASE, when you talk about pricing for Lupron shots, you must state not
only the time release factor, but the actual dosage.  It varies greatly!
 
The time release factor is usually 1 month or 4 month.  There is also a
3-month human dose, but I've not seen it used for ferrets.  One month
delivered doses can be as low at 100 mcg and as high as 500 mcg
(microgram).
 
$125 for a 1 g (ie, 1000 mcg) 4-month shot is reasonable.  You are paying
$12.50 per 100 mcg of Lupron, about the same per amount of drug as if you
were getting a 100 mcg 1 month shot for $12.  But the first is giving you
2 1/2 times the amount of drug per month and some ferrets only get relief
with the higher amounts.
