I think you are a wondeful person for wanting what is best for the ferret.
I personally think you are doing the right thing by allowing your friend to
adopt the little girl.  Ferrets, I think, can sense alot of things and she
would probablly pick up on the fact that you are not close to her.  Follow
your heart on this one sweety.  If you feel she would be better off with
your friend, then let her go where she will be happiest.
