Lucy did it the other way around.  She dragged her bed down from the top
floor of the cage to the bottom floor right next to the food dish, crawled
in bed, and happily munched away on her food.  (I've since permanently
attached her bed to the cage).  Greta also finds it more convenient to eat
"upstairs" near her bed, so she takes a big mouthful of food from her dish,
runs up the ramp and spits out the food on the top floor (carpeted) and
proceeds to eat one piece at a time before crawling into bed.  I am
thinking of putting another dish of food up there for their "convenience".
 
I also found a way to get Lucy interested in the rice bucket.  I buried a
few pairs of socks in the rice and showed her how to dig for them.  She
actually prefers to "snorkle" for them.  She loves this new game, but now
she keeps looking for more socks even after she has retrieved them all
(unless I put the socks back in the rice).  And I have rice all over the
carpet (white rice on white carpet!) and when I go to put my socks
on...well, more rice...:o(.  Well, I guess if it makes her happy...:o) It
is really cute, tho, when she pulls her head out, with a sock in her mouth,
rice on top of her head and her face all white with rice powder.
 
I took them outside last weekend and let them run thru all the leaves in
the yard.  They LOVED it!!  Just like a couple of kids!
 
Special thoughts for special fuzzies with special probelms, like Bumble
and Flower, and others who are sick :o(  We are praying for you all.
