My work is offering free flu shots and I'm thinking about getting one this
year, but I have a concern. My understanding of this vaccine is that it
works by injecting a tiny amount of the live flu virus, thus allowing your
body to develop antibodies to that particular flu strain; I also understand
that many people develop a very mild case of the flu from the shot itself.
I also know that ferrets can catch the flu from people. My question is,
can my ferrets catch the flu from contact with me after I receive the live
virus injection, even if I myself never develop any flu symptoms from it?
I don't want to do anything to endanger my four babies.
