Sorry, Bill, but you had an "Opps".  Path Valley actually DOES use the
retired breeders as baby sitters.  No joke.  (Remember that Steve and I
have visited them twice; you can do that, too.) They also adopt out any
handicapped ones they get to reliable homes.  Fortunately, this is rare
occurrence but anyone producing enough kits is going to see some -- even if
just from uterine crowding now and then, or from novice mothers grooming
off digits.
 
Path Valley has some info brochures with their kits.  Honestly, I disagree
with some of the things in it such as the training techniques, but they are
willing to listen and learn.  We have had a one year warrantly with every
PV except for the freebie handicapped ones who joined our family.  This
included Ashling who joined our family last April.
