Becky,

Whole males tend to often be much (much) larger than most neutered males,
and there are some absolutely huge lines. You should see the size of
some of the Russian lines discussed on Ferret-Genetics in Yahoogroups in
the past because a few of them will remind you of small cats in size,
larger than the 6 pound +, non-obese whole males we saw in Montana years
back.

Deslorelin Depot/Suprelorin is still considered experimental in the U.S.
and available that way, but application has been made for sale here. It
lasts longer than Lupron and seem to perhaps work better for some cases,
but is not widely available in the U.S. for obvious reasons since it has
to be gotten as part of approved experimental investigation. There are
multiple studies on the med already, and there is at least one on-going
U.S. study and another in Europe (Dr. Nico Schoemaker.)
