I took my new ferret calender to my mom and dad's who were born and raised
in the Ukraine when it was communist Russia.  My mom was looking at the
"russian" ferret who does have a very weirdly marked nose (makes you wonder
how it could be natural).  After pondering it for a second she laughed "Oh,
they made him look like an alcoholic!" I said "What?" You know, they gave
him an alcholic nose so he'd look like a Russian" Absolutely no disrepect
to any sober Russians out there but I thought that was a hoot!
