Cully has always done this, and he seems to be a pretty normal altered male
ferret. When I first got him and he was so aggressive, I asked my vet if
she thought there was a possibility that he hadn't been completely neutered,
but she thought not (I forget the reason why now). LIke your ferret, he
seems to do this when bored, and I think it's a habit he picked up when he
was shut in his cage all the time by previous owners. It's somewhat
embarassing when you have friends over and they ask "what _is_ that ferret
doing?" but otherwise it seems to be nothing to worry about. Then again,
Cully's cookoo to begin with, so others may feel free to express other
opinions ;)
